We have designed four different rod series to meet the needs of every angler. These are the Summit, Titan Bass, ERX Series & Full-Custom built rods. Which rod is best for you? The descriptions below will give an overview of how the series differ from each other and there will also be a description on each rod series individual page.
SUMMIT SERIES ($119.00-$199.00): Elk River Custom Rods Summit Series offers a variety of high performance graphite spinning & casting rods at a very affordable price. This is a lightweight rod that is very sensitive and durable. There are models to choose from that will accommodate all species from panfish, trout, walleye, bass, northern pike, musky and more.
FEATURES:
High Performance Graphite(All Models) : Patterned and tapered for a lightweight and sensitive rod which still maintains great durability. Gloss gray blank finish.
Blank Exposed Graphite Reel Seat (Casting Models): Reel seat allows the rod blank to be exposed to your hand directly under the reel.
Lightweight Pac Bay Minima Guides(All Models): Very lightweight, smooth and durable. The “press-fit” construction virtually eliminates ring-pop.
Tru-Kast Guide System (Spinning Models): Developed by Marc Morrone, Elk River Custom Rods Design Specialist. The system uses efficient placement of guides with the proper size & geometry to provide an exceptionally efficient path to channel your cast. Many customers routinely comment on how effortlessly and accurately they are able to cast great distances.
Graphite Reel Seat (Spinning Models): Sensitive, comfortable and durable spinning seat with titanium/smoke hoods.
Split & Full Rear Grip Available (Models indicated on rod list): You have your choice of models with the traditional “full rear grip” or the “split grip”. With the split grip, the rear grip is split in the middle to fully expose the rod blank. The ends of the exposed section is wrapped to match the guide wraps and decorated with the artistic marbling.
Grade “A” Cork Grips (All models): We use nothing but high quality grade “A” cork handles with multi-colored accent rings. Handles are sealed with a penetrating sealer which significantly reduces wear from the elements and repeated handling.
Artistic Marbling (All Models): Colored pigment which is delicately swirled into each rod by hand giving it a very classy, recognizable look. It is like the rod’s “fingerprint” as they are very similar but no two are exactly alike.
Double Coat/Slow cure finish(All Models): Thread wraps and graphics are coated and then cured using a 6 hour drying process, and repeated a second time. This creates a strong bond that protects your guide wraps and securely adheres the guides to the rod.
5-Year Limited Warranty+ Elk River Safeguard (All Models): See warranty Page.
